HenPen Foundation Scholarships Medical Oncology and Healthcare

The HenPen Foundation Scholarship Funds mission is to financially assist and to empower young people to experience their unlimited potential through education and exposure. We are a charitable educational outreach organization dedicated to the advancement of students from diverse backgrounds planning to pursue careers in medical oncology and healthcare-related fields. In order to qualify applicants must be graduating high school seniors who have been accepted to and plan on attending a two-year college, technical school, or four-year university with degree offerings in science, chemistry, biology, or healthcare-related fields.

The HenPen Foundation Inc. offers scholarships to students pursuing careers in medical oncology or other healthcare-related fields in order to help them achieve their educational objectives. Henry Laws, co-founder of the HenPen Foundation, is a prostate cancer survivor. The Foundation decided to promote awareness as well as provide scholarships to students pursuing careers in medical oncology or healthcare with the hopes that they will positively impact cancer research and treatment in the years to come.

In order to be considered, students must complete an application that includes a copy of an acceptance letter to a technical school, college, or university. They must also include in their application packet a 1000 word essay articulating their thoughts on the impact cancer has had on society and how their educational goals would be utilized in the fight against cancer. Individuals who meet the above criteria may qualify to receive a HenPen Foundation Scholarship. Up to $2,500 is awarded annually for these scholarships. Applications are available after September 1 with a deadline of February 1.

The HenPen Foundation is committed to making a positive impact in peoples lives, strengthening and transforming communities, and promoting community outreach.
