The HenPen Foundation Inc. was founded by Henry and Dr. Penelope Laws in 2015. Henry is a prostate cancer survivor.

Since its inception, the organization has worked with a number of charitable causes in the greater Metro Atlanta area, and recently joined the fight against breast and prostate cancer.  As a prostate cancer survivor, Henry is an advocate for helping men understand the importance of awareness and early detection.  The Tournaments of Hope was created to unite men and women in the fight against breast and prostate cancer.

“Missing one appointment almost cost me my life,” Mr. Laws said.  “Ecclesiastes 4:9 says that two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor.  It’s important for men and women to unite against cancer in order to multiply our efforts to increase awareness, promote early detection, and save lives.”

The 2019 Tournaments of Hope was held on May 31, 2019 at Southland Golf Club in Stone Mountain, GA.

The HenPen Foundation Inc. hosted its inaugural Tournaments of Hope Golf Classic in partnership with the American Cancer Society to promote early detection of breast and prostate cancer by increasing awareness and encouraging timely enrollment in screenings.  Proceeds from the tournaments were donated to the American Cancer Society to support the fight against cancer. The husband and wife team is committed to making a positive impact in people's lives, strengthening and transforming communities, and promoting community outreach.
